Time is the scarcest resource
Volunteers give their evenings for free. Every hour we save them is one more hour for what they’re truly passionate about.
Rubic was founded in 2014 by people who knew the frustration first-hand: evenings with spreadsheets, payment reminders by text message and five systems that didn’t talk to each other. Since then, we’ve had one goal — to give time back to the people who run Norway’s voluntary sector.

It started with volunteer coordination — replacing the paper lists and rounds of phone calls that large events were drowning in. The solution worked so well that Norway Cup, the world’s largest football tournament, chose us.
Then we grew to where the need was greatest: the member register, membership fees, the facility calendar, the accounts. Today, Rubic is one platform for the whole organisation — but still with the same starting point: running voluntary work should be easy.
As part of ECIT, we have 3,500 colleagues behind us in finance and technology — but the Rubic team is based in Norway, and the people you talk to today are the same people you’ll talk to in three years’ time.
