Simplified and improved app for the membership system

Colour codes, a motivation map and police certificates are some of what you get in a new and updated version of Rubic's own mobile app. At the same time, the design has been changed to give users a better overview and make the app easier to use.

Rubic's membership system is used by more and more people. The mobile app is particularly popular, giving you an easy overview and most things available right in your pocket.

Simpler and more intuitive

The app is constantly being developed, and over time this began to show, as new features kept being added on top of what already existed.

– It was starting to become a bit too advanced and too difficult to find your way around. So we have simplified the design and made it clearer and easier to use. It still has the same features, plus several new ones, with the things you use most often given priority, explains Anders Retterås, Head of Development at Rubic AS.

New motivation feature

In addition to a design upgrade, new features have also been added. It is now possible to give different teams colour codes to tell them apart. The messaging flow has been simplified, and it is now possible to set a time period for registration.

– We have also added a motivation map, which makes it easier for a coach or leader to plan. Here, each person can place themselves on a scale ranging from wanting to become as good as possible, via staying in shape, to getting in better shape. With this overview of the whole team, it is easier to adapt training and the long-term plan, Retterås continues.

Simplification and user experience

The app is already live. If you already use it and have turned on app updates, you already have the latest version. Otherwise, you will need to update it manually. General manager Pål Bergersen is very pleased with what they have achieved in a short time, just before the start of the season:

– I am very pleased that we got so much done in a short time, and on schedule for the season, which will hopefully start soon. This is only the first step in a series of changes in which the mobile user experience takes centre stage. Everything is done on the mobile user's terms, and should have a clean, clear design and provide a consistent experience across features.

Police certificates

Rubic is committed to maintaining a constant dialogue with its users, listening to their wishes and continuously improving every step to provide the best possible user experience and make everyday life easier for event organisers, associations and sports clubs. This also means that new features are constantly being added, with more always on the drawing board.

– Relevant features and good user experiences are our goal. That is why we have been working on improving our unique solution for police certificates. Many teams and associations require this to be in order. At the same time, we are working on a new project we call Rubic Connect, where we will go even deeper into features that simplify the practical work of running an organisation. This is work that is constantly evolving, Bergersen concludes.
