More time to be involved in leisure activities

It is no secret that many leisure activities involve a fair amount of work for parents. The work includes driving and picking up, cheering, making waffles and other volunteer work. And by all means, we want our children to be active, engaged and learn new skills outside school too. That is why we take on this responsibility gladly. But what if it were possible to cut the number of hours spent on administration and organisation, so that we could spend more time and energy cheering, supporting and following up?

Manual administrative work

Leisure activities are largely run on a voluntary basis, so taking part demands a lot of parents' free time. For those who take on roles and other responsibilities in the association, there are also phone calls and text messages in the evenings, and a lot of manual work updating member lists and sending invoices to the parents of every member. Parents have to keep track of where the next gathering, training session and rehearsal will take place, remember to pay invoices and membership fees, and take on shifts at various volunteer work (dugnad) events.

Yes to leisure activities, no to outdated solutions

Despite all this, we of course say yes to leisure activities. But now that we have been persuaded and said yes to the little one who so badly wants to start playing the clarinet in the school band, it would be nice if there were a simple, clear system for member management, communication and invoicing. Both for parents with roles and the association's leadership, and for all parents with eager, active children.

Not sure what is important to consider when choosing a membership system? Here are our eight best tips and pieces of advice.

Rubic Medlem simplifies the work

What if the band switched to a simple, user-friendly digital solution for member management, communication and payments? It is actually possible with Rubic.

Rubic is developed in Norway to solve the challenges Norwegian voluntary organisations face. The system can be adapted to each organisation's needs and tailored so that you have neither more nor less functionality than you need.
