Accountant for sports clubs – job vacancy

The transfer window is open. Rubic Regnskap wants to sign a new accountant for sports clubs, and we are looking for you: a recent graduate who loves sport and is curious about AI. We believe modern technology and AI create jobs rather than take them. Here is the position.

When machines take care of data capture, account coding and posting vouchers, time is freed up for what actually requires a skilled person: understanding the sports club, advising the board and the administration, and building on the technology that makes the job possible. At Rubic Regnskap, AI creates more and better jobs for hungry young talents who dare to combine professional expertise with technology.

We only play sport

We provide accounting for sports clubs, and only for sports clubs. Not marketing agencies, not tradespeople, not property companies. That gives us deep specialist expertise in the regulatory requirements and special rules that apply to sport, and a product team that builds the technology we use every day.

We have already automated the tasks that used to demand enormous resources from volunteers and staff at the clubs:

Referee settlements are pulled straight from FIKS and Idrettsoppgjør.
Expense claims are approved and posted automatically.
Team funds are updated in real time for every single team in the club.

This isn't a vision of the future. It's our everyday reality, built on in-house AI and integration infrastructure, the Rubic platform (our membership system for sports clubs) and the Catacloud finance system. But we're not finished. We are investing heavily in the next thing we can push forward with technology, and that's where you come in: as one of the bright minds who see opportunities before others do.

Your position

Accounting, ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliation, control and payroll for sports clubs and organisations
Customer follow-up and advice
Improving and automating work processes
Using AI and new technology for greater efficiency and quality
Contributing to development projects and new initiatives
Building strong relationships with customers and partners

The player profile we're looking for

A degree in finance, economics or business administration
Drive and curiosity about accounting and sport
An interest in AI and how it can be used in practice

Building expertise in accounting and payroll in sport. You'll become an expert in a field hardly anyone else knows.
