6 good reasons to choose Rubic in 2026

Six reasons to choose Rubic as your club system in 2026

Six concrete reasons why more than 500 organisations choose Rubic: an all-in-one platform, transparent fees, a dedicated volunteer module, a new app and support in Norwegian.

When a sports club is choosing a membership system, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. There are many solutions on the market, each with its own claims. We're not objective — we make Rubic — but here are six reasons why more than 500 organisations choose us every day.

1. All-in-one for sports clubs and associations

You don't need five different tools. With Rubic you get:

  • Admin for member management, invoicing and communication
  • Connect — our relaunched app (March 2026)
  • Portal for volunteers and participants (launched January 2026)
  • Event for larger events with transparent fees (see the prices)
  • Regnskap for accounting, with the NIF chart of accounts and the basis for VAT compensation
  • Organizer — dedicated volunteer management for large events
  • Lokasjon with Inlet.tech integration for smart locks
  • Team fund (new in April 2026) with IIZY integration for cash flow at team level
  • Expenses for receipts, approval and reimbursement
  • Accreditation for large events

A sports club that uses Rubic doesn't have to pay for five separate systems. And everything works together.

2. Transparent payment fees

Money saved on fees is money that goes straight to activities and members.

Rubic charges 2.5% + NOK 2 per card payment and 2.5% + NOK 3 per Vipps payment. The rates are the same whichever package you have, and they are listed in the price list.

OCR/KID costs NOK 15 per payment.

For standalone Rubic Event, a separate fee of 2.5% + NOK 5 per registration applies. All rates are stated in advance, so you know what an event costs before you get started.

3. Rubic Organizer — volunteers in one system

Are you organising a larger competition, tournament or festival? Then you need volunteer coordination on a whole different level.

Rubic Organizer lets you register volunteers, assign them to shifts, send reminders and track attendance in real time. No Excel spreadsheet of volunteer numbers that people forget to look at. Volunteers are notified in the app, know exactly what time to turn up and where, and can swap shifts with each other.

Norway Cup has 1,700 volunteers across 4,000 shifts. Ski-VM 2025 used Organizer. Tons of Rock uses it. Øyafestivalen uses it.

If you're organising something big, it saves a great many hours of coordination.

4. Rubic Connect — app relaunched in March 2026

Your members want an app. It's no longer an extra — it's expected.

In March 2026 we relaunched Connect — our app, rebuilt from the ground up. It's faster, better-looking and does what members need:

  • See matches and training sessions
  • Sign up for and withdraw from activities
  • Pay for membership directly
  • Get messages from the club
  • See who is on the same team
  • Apps for iOS and Android

Members get their own account. Children get their first encounter with the administration of their sports club. Parents no longer have to ask who trains when — they can see it in the app.

And Connect integrates fully with the Admin system. When you change a match there, it is updated in the app instantly.

5. ECIT partnership for accounting

Rubic is part of ECIT — a Nordic accounting and IT group with 3,500 colleagues in 11 countries. That means the Regnskap accounting module is built with real accounting expertise behind it.

You get:

  • The NIF chart of accounts (the Norwegian Confederation of Sports standard)
  • The basis for VAT compensation, ready for the application
  • Integration with your bookkeeper's tools
  • Auditor access when needed

You don't have to choose a separate accounting program. And you don't have to enter figures manually — they flow automatically from membership payments, expenses and invoices straight into the accounts.

For a sports club that takes financial management seriously, that's an enormous time saver.

6. Norwegian support that knows clubs

A technical solution is only as good as the help you get when something isn't working.

You talk to people who know sport and associations — not a global call centre reading from a script.

That means that when the treasurer has a question, or when something technical isn't working, you get help in Norwegian.

And both the service and the member database are hosted in data centres in Norway.

Integrated with what you already use

Rubic integrates with:

  • FIKS (football)
  • TurneringsAdmin (handball, hockey, bandy)
  • Inlet.tech (smart locks for facilities)
  • Catacloud, IIZY, Fygi, Proviso and more

If your sports club already uses any of these, Rubic connects to them directly. You don't need to move data manually between different systems — it happens automatically.
