Who actually turns up to training? For many coaches and team managers, the answer is surprisingly hard to give. With Rubic's new attendance registration, you finally get the overview you need – right in the app.
As a coach or team manager, you may recognise this: you send out a training invitation in the app, 18 say yes, but only 12 turn up. Some forgot to say they couldn't come, others didn't see the message. And when the season is over, you have no overview of who has actually been active.
This is exactly the problem we solve with attendance registration in Rubic.
From sign-up list to actual attendance
Many sports clubs and associations already have good routines for sending out invitations to training sessions, matches and activities via the Rubic Connect app. That works well for planning. But there is an important difference between who says they are coming – and who actually turns up.
With attendance registration, coaches and team managers can now record who actually turns up, directly in the app or via Rubic Portal. This gives you:
- An overview of actual activity – not just intentions
- A better basis for match selection – see who has trained the most
- Documentation for funding and reporting – important for clubs that report activity figures
- Early warning – see if anyone is dropping out over time, so you can follow up

Easy for the coach, valuable for the club
We have designed attendance registration to be quick to use in the middle of a busy training day. You don't need Excel sheets or paper – you open the app, select the activity and tick off who is present. Done.
For the club as a whole, this provides valuable information over time. The board can see activity levels across groups and teams, and you get figures that can be used in annual reports and in applications for funding from the municipality or the regional sports association.
Tip: Combine attendance registration with the Selections feature in Rubic to create match squads based on who has been most active at training. This gives you a fair and transparent basis for selection.

Why does this matter now?
Norwegian sport is built on volunteering, and it is more important than ever to keep the people who are engaged. When coaches and team managers get tools that simplify administrative tasks, it frees up time for what matters most: the activity itself.
At the same time, we see that more and more sports clubs and associations need documentation of actual activity – not just membership numbers. Attendance registration gives you exactly that.
Coming soon: Splitting attendees into groups
Before the summer, we are also launching the option to split attendees into groups – perfect for training sessions where you split the team in two, run stations or have differentiated sessions. The coach can then also document what the different groups have done, giving an even better overview.
No credit card, no commitment.
