Whether you are an association, an event organiser or a team, you will get a lot out of Rubic Connect – and save a great deal of time. With Rubic Connect in your pocket, you have a full overview of what is happening where. Among other things, you can sign up for activities, keep track of payments, unlock doors and communicate.
Rubic's membership system started out as a tool for sports clubs. The aim was to make running a club as efficient and simple as possible, without too much administration. Since then, the system has been in continuous development and has steadily moved into new markets. Today it is used by everything from friends' associations to festivals, large national events and umbrella organisations.
From LagetMitt to Rubic Connect
Everything you need is in one app, where administrators, leaders, users and support staff always have access and are fully up to date. Rubic Connect will be rolled out to all Rubic customers next year – it replaces what existing users know as LagetMitt, and is an upgraded and modernised version with many new features. The Rubic Connect app is already used by a number of customers today.
- Replacing LagetMitt with a new app has been part of Rubic's plans for quite some time, in line with our motto “simplification for everyone”. The new app was created in parallel with a development project we did for Friskis & Svettis. They wanted a system that included, among other things, good solutions for training schedules, registration and communication with their members.
- For us, it is always useful to get input from customers in different fields and about their needs, which we can then build into our standard solutions. This results in a flexible tool that can work for everyone, whatever their needs. That is how we work – continuous development based on the wishes and needs our customers tell us about, explains Lisa-Marie Hovland, adviser at Rubic.
Overview, communication, digital key
Rubic Connect ties all of Rubic's features together and keeps you up to date at all times. In addition to having your own page, where you have an overview of your membership, can pay your membership fee and identify yourself with a QR code, you also have access to these features:
- Registration – You can sign up for all kinds of activities, training sessions and competitions, or buy a membership at your fitness centre, directly in the app.
- Payments – You can pay for memberships, membership fees, events and more, while keeping a full overview of what has already been paid.
- Accreditation and access control – You can get accredited for events and also identify yourself by scanning with your phone camera in the app.
- Digital key – Forget keys and key cards – directly in the app you can now get access to open doors with your phone, for example for your training session every Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00.
- One or many – You can invite groups, individuals or the whole association to activities such as training sessions, matches, meetings, volunteer work (dugnad), social gatherings, trips and more.
- Powerful communication tool – With a news feed and the option to communicate with one person or a whole group, you get a push notification when something new happens, a time changes or something is organised. In addition, as a parent or guardian you can manage and keep track of your children's communication and activities.
- Full overview – In the app you have a full overview of what is happening when. If you are a member of a fitness centre, you can see all the training sessions and sign up for the ones you want. If you are the parent of one or more children in a sports club, you will always know where and when matches and training sessions take place.
Rubic Connect is useful for voluntary organisations
A wide range of organisations use Rubic Connect. More and more event organisers have started using the system, and they give good feedback.
- Rubic Connect is used by events such as Holmenkollen Skifestival, Skiforeningen, Vikersund Hoppsenter, Norway Cup, the World Cup at Kvitfjell and Lillehammer, and ParaVM. Here, volunteers get an overview of everything from their own shifts, with meeting point and time, to contact details for key people. At the same time, volunteers and leaders can communicate with each other in real time, with everyone or in groups. Group leaders and event organisers, for their part, get an overview of the volunteers, with dedicated features for attendance registration, access control and accreditation.
Great for associations
More and more associations and interest organisations are starting to use Rubic Connect. It makes life easier for both management and members.
- Indeed, everyone from Landsforeningen for psykisk helse and Foreningen Fri to Norsk Folkemuseums venneforening and the Mercedes Benz interest organisation benefits greatly from all the features in Rubic Connect. Many people find it too hard to find useful information on the big social media platforms. Here they have a tool where they get information about the things they are interested in and can communicate with like-minded people.
