Rubic delivers a complete volunteer solution for this year's Norway Cup!
In February 2022, Rubic and Norway Cup began working together. From day one, we have worked closely together with regular meetings to ensure a good process in the run-up to the tournament.
The team has consisted of Marthe Bøhler (Event and Product Manager), Kai Frydenlund-Holm (Crew Manager) and Lisa-Marie Hovland (Adviser and Event Specialist at Rubic).
“We are very happy with the service and that you are willing to develop further and make
changes to the system along the way. We think that is absolutely essential for
continued collaboration. A volunteer organisation is constantly evolving, and
suppliers like you should also be willing to be part of that development.
We feel that you are.”
When several thousand volunteers need to be organised, it is important to have an efficient system that works both internally and externally.
“We have chosen Rubic as our new partner because it is a simple system
that we think can work within our complex system. Both internally and externally.”

1,600 volunteers and 5,200 shifts managed in Rubic Funksjonær
Norway Cup is known as one of the biggest football tournaments in the world, bringing together people from all over the world at Ekebergsletta in the first week of August. Around 1,600 volunteers and 5,200 shifts have to be coordinated across 17 different departments. That makes it important to have a well-functioning tool like Rubic's volunteer management system, which makes it easy to communicate with and organise the volunteers.
“What we really like about Rubic's solutions is that they are simple and make it easy to communicate
with members and volunteers”
Norway Cup has used Rubic's volunteer management system for recruitment, registration and planning of volunteer shifts. With Rubic's efficient recruitment solution, which can be distributed widely across all channels, it has been relatively easy to secure the volunteers for this year's event. Other event organisers report that it has been a challenging time when it comes to finding enough volunteers.

An app for the volunteers at this year's Norway Cup
The Rubic Connect app is actively used by both the organisers and the volunteers. In the app, volunteers get an overview of their shifts with the related information. Those in charge can easily communicate via group messages and find the contact details they need for the volunteers. The app also has a news feed where important messages and status updates can easily be posted, with the option to upload photos.
