Rubic's own app, LagetMitt, now has a dedicated feature for easily registering people at sports venues via a QR code. This is to meet requirements for contact tracing and the number of people allowed at events in connection with COVID-19.
In connection with the reopening of activities after the outbreak of the pandemic, the Norwegian Government, Norges Idrettsforbund and several national federations have required the registration of athletes, support staff, referees and spectators in all sports clubs. Particularly in connection with matches.
This led Rubic to act quickly and develop a dedicated Covid-19 module in collaboration with its customers.
For both home and away matches
The module was originally developed to support registration at home matches by a match host, but has now also been extended to support away matches or other activities registered in LagetMitt.
We cannot have more than 200 people at the facility at the same time. With 80 teams that need to train and play matches, a lot of rearranging has been required. On top of that come signage and frequent information to coaches, team managers, members and opposing teams, explains Mona Habbestad, general manager of Flint fotball.

Saves a lot of work
The registration must be available for up to 10 days for any contact tracing. It is made available via a QR code, which can be scanned with each person's phone directly from, among other things, another phone, posters or big screens.

This takes you straight to a registration form where you can enter your name and contact details for any contact tracing afterwards.
Not everyone knows what a QR code is, so it takes a few extra stewards who can guide people. But after just a few days things settled down. This saves us a lot of work that we would otherwise have had to do manually.
We have had a lot of help from Rubic in this process; they are easy to get in touch with, responsive to input and quick to reply. Not least, they acted quickly and created this solution.
I feel taken seriously and have received help when needed. I have also passed this on to other clubs with the same needs, continues Habbestad.
Five reasons to choose the Rubic membership system
A smart way to register
The module is part of the LagetMitt app. It is built over three levels so that you can search for the relevant activity by the name of the host club or the activity code from the start page.
It has been developed in close collaboration and dialogue with clubs that already use Rubic's systems.
Jens Fløtre is team manager for girls 15 at Lillehammer KFK, where they have had a high level of activity since Easter. When the registration requirement from 1 August came, he quickly contacted Rubic, where they have already been a customer for 4–5 years.
I am impressed by how quickly Rubic moved and got this feature up and running. The requirement came in July, and as early as 4 August we were able to try it.
It has worked very well and saved us a lot of work. We have received only positive feedback from users, and get the impression that people think this is a smart way to register.
At the same time, it is a good measure for helping people keep their distance, as they can scan the QR code from a poster rather than having close contact.
