Volunteer work (dugnad) and volunteering
At least 25,000 volunteer hours were needed when the world's alpine elite raced down the slopes at the World Cup in Kvitfjell in 2019. It was a good thing they had a well-functioning system where officials could sign up, where they could map needs for food and accommodation, and a communication tool that reached everyone involved by text message.
“We couldn't have done this without a tool that worked. It was quite simply crucial.”
– Chief of course, World Cup Kvitfjell, Per Arne Kleven.

All the same, it is possible to organise regular volunteer work (dugnad) in a simple and efficient way. Sticky notes, random emails, home-made Excel lists and to-do lists are a thing of the past. With Rubic Funksjonær, the information is posted in one single place. The volunteer work coordinator only has to deal with Rubic
Pitch allocation
Lillehammer Kvinnefotballklubb has 400 members, from girls aged 8 up to seniors. That makes 30 teams. As a general manager or pitch allocator, you know how frustrating it can be to keep track of this in Excel. In Rubic LagetMitt, the pitch allocation feature is a loyal assistant you can rely on.
“If matches have to be moved, we go into the overview and see where there is a free pitch. Previously, the team manager or coach had to call, text or email everyone, but with Rubic this is much easier. Pitch allocation is a big puzzle, but with Rubic it's a puzzle that always works out.”
– Åse Marita Høitomt, General Manager of Lillehammer Kvinnefotballklubb.
Gone are the days when the pitch allocator changed an activity and all team managers, athletes and parents and guardians had to actively search for updated information – and didn't always find it.
One change, one view, consistent data. That's Rubic pitch allocation.
One app for everything
With many members, coaches and parents who all need up-to-date information, the app makes it easy to reach everyone with changes, useful information and more.
“I would particularly highlight the pitch allocation, the invoicing system and, not least, the app. Now we have everything in our pocket, updated at all times. We have 200 coaches, and when one of them adds something, all the members of the group, the team and the parents and guardians get it at the same time, straight away. Quick and easy. The same goes for the invoicing system – a couple of taps and you've paid.”
– Ketil Gjerde, General Manager of Vind IL

The advantages of having the coaching staff update LagetMitt are obvious: it is the coaching staff who know who the athletes and parents and guardians are, and who is part of the coaching staff. Information about athletes and coaching staff in LagetMitt is automatically synchronised with the member register.
Communication
With over 2,500 memberships covering more than 7,000 individuals in total, De Sandvigske Samlingers venner is one of the country's very largest museum friends' associations. The problem was that far too few people found out about the events they held. Switching to Rubic's membership system has really boosted the special viewings the friends' association organises. The information now reaches the members.
“Since we started using Rubic's system, we have had a huge rush of interest. We now have to point out that only the first people to sign up get a place.”
– Svend Strand, chair, De Sandvigske Samlingers venner.
