Organising a sports club doesn't have to be complicated. Or an event or association, for that matter.
Pitch allocation made easy. Communication that reaches all members in real time. Good organisation, a steady financial flow and more time for activity. These are some of the things Rubic's membership systems can help you with.
Organising a sports club doesn't have to be complicated. Or an event or association, for that matter. With the right tool, a great deal can be automated, so that members and those in charge alike can spend more time on what matters.
Pitch allocation made easy
Lillehammer Kvinnefotballklubb has 400 members, from girls aged 8 up to seniors. That makes 30 teams. As a general manager or pitch allocator, you know how frustrating it can be to keep track of this in Excel. In Rubic LagetMitt, the pitch allocation feature is a loyal assistant you can rely on. Åse Marita Høitomt, General Manager of Lillehammer Kvinnefotballklubb, is very pleased with that.
– If matches have to be moved, we go into the overview and see where there is a free pitch. Previously, the team manager or coach had to call, text or email everyone, but with Rubic this is much easier. Pitch allocation is a big puzzle, but with Rubic it's a puzzle that always works out.
A pitch allocator's dream tool

From spreadsheets to an interactive system
For three years, Utleira managed its members and all activities with lists exported from Excel, after saying goodbye to a system they were not happy with. In autumn 2019, they set up a dedicated group that assessed several systems and ranked them. And they chose Rubic's membership system. A fairly drastic change to a far more automated, interactive and user-friendly system.
– We chose Rubic because they have better functionality and a more comprehensive system compared with everyone else on the market. Here we get everything we need, and they also have good add-on modules for things like managing volunteer work and club referees.
– For us, the user interface was important, but so was how forward-looking and financially sound they are. What we saw was that Rubic has currently come further than comparable systems and will probably still be ahead in 3–5 years, explained Pål Wahl, General Manager of Utleira IL

Communication and registration
At least 25,000 volunteer hours were needed when the world's alpine elite raced down the slopes at the World Cup in Kvitfjell in 2019. It was a good thing they had a well-functioning system where officials could sign up, where they could map needs for food and accommodation, and a communication tool that reached everyone involved by text message.
– We couldn't have managed this without a tool that works. It was quite simply crucial, said Per Arne Kleven, chief of course at World Cup Kvitfjell.

One app for everything
With many members, coaches and parents who all need up-to-date information, the “Laget Mitt” app makes it easy to reach everyone with changes, useful information and more. Here, parents, participants and coaching staff alike can see which pitch is to be used, pay membership fees, communicate and get notifications when something changes. Information about athletes and coaching staff in Laget Mitt is automatically synchronised with the member register. And it is NIF-approved.
– I would particularly highlight the pitch allocation, the invoicing system and, not least, the app. Now we have everything in our pocket, updated at all times. We have 200 coaches, and when one of them adds something, all the members of the group, the team and the parents and guardians get it at the same time, straight away. Quick and easy. The same goes for the invoicing system – a couple of taps and you've paid, added Ketil Gjerde, General Manager of Vind IL.
