There are many everyday heroes out there. We have grandparents who make waffles at football tournaments, dads who sell hot dogs at flea markets, mums who drive to and from training camps, and local enthusiasts who allocate resources and arrange special viewings at the museum. But where there are heroes, there are usually challenges too.
What is the challenge?
For sports clubs, associations, event organisers and national federations, the challenge is usually about time. Our heroes often spend an unnecessary amount of time on administrative work related to training sessions, gatherings, registrations, contact details and everything else that comes with it.
The solution for De Sandvigske Samlingers Venner
De Sandvigske Samlingers Venner is a friends' association linked to Maihaugen in Lillehammer. With 2,500 members, it is one of the largest museum friends' associations in the country. Until January 2017, the administration spent an enormous number of hours on old, time-consuming solutions. They communicated with their members by letter and through a members' magazine published three times a year. This was both cumbersome and expensive.
During 2017, DSSV started using Rubic's membership system. It has really given a boost to the special viewings they arrange! The association is now seeing so much demand that it actually doesn't have room for everyone who is interested. Read more about how the friends' association solved its biggest challenge and achieved a big increase in demand by replacing old systems.
More joy on skis for LYN SKI
The sports club LYN SKI has grown its membership considerably over the last 15 years. Today, it has 2,500 members. With so many members comes a great need for administrative work around registrations, communication flow and contact details, among other things. This steals precious time that all the club's members and leaders would much rather spend on their greatest passion: skiing.
To free up time, the club started using Rubic's system, including the brilliant LagetMitt app. Now it's easy to communicate with all active children and adults, without spoiling the joy of skiing! Read more about how LYN SKI was named “Sports Club of the Year” in April 2018 and how Rubic has helped them get there.
Less administrative work for BMW MC Norge
BMW MC Norge is an association with 1,500 members. They organise annual meetups with Norwegian and international motorcycle enthusiasts, send out a members' magazine and manage members' contact details. For one of the association's great heroes, the treasurer, it simply became too much. A volunteer role that requires 10–20 hours of work a week is hard to combine with the rest of life's obligations.
Today, members can see all their details on their Rubic profile, pay invoices and receive messages from the administration on PC, tablet and mobile. Read more here about how BMW MC has got more time to ride motorcycles since they started using Rubic.
