6 good reasons to choose Rubic's complete membership system

No more confusion about where the match or training session is, no more Excel spreadsheets, good communication between management, coaches, athletes and parents. Simply put: a full overview and a lot of time saved. That is some of what you get with Rubic's membership system.

Rubic was founded with one main goal: to simplify everyday life for teams and associations. They have not looked back since. Six years after the start, they have 5 employees and have gone from depending on investors to having money in the bank.

New systems are constantly being developed. They deliver complete membership systems for associations, sports clubs and event organisers, and the systems are tailored to customers' specific needs. Today Rubic has more than 350 sports clubs, associations and event organisers as customers.

Pitch allocation

Training sessions and matches have to be planned, pitches have to be booked, and parents, coaches and opposing teams have to be kept up to date on changes. As a pitch allocator, you are probably very familiar with these challenges.

Rubic's LagetMitt, which can be used both as an app and in a browser, gives you an overview of all teams with the built-in pitch allocator. Here you can set up regular training sessions, make quick changes, allocate resources across pitches and halls, and plan. All in one place.

Communication

With many members it can be difficult to keep track and collect membership fees, and even harder to reach everyone with important information. Many struggle to get members to turn up for volunteer work (dugnad) or take part in the club's events. Often this is simply down to poor communication – not having good enough tools to reach everyone.

Rubic's Membership system is linked to the association's member register, where you can easily notify all members at once, whether it is about collecting the membership fee, signing up for the next gathering, announcing a change or getting everyone to turn up for volunteer work.

Since we started using Rubic's system, demand has been tremendous. Now we have to tell people that only the first to sign up get a place, says Svend Strand, chair of De Sandvigske Samlingers venner.

With a lot of help from World Cup Kvitfjell, Rubic is now developing its own app for officials and volunteers. It will make it easier to communicate with and organise officials and volunteers at events. The solution includes a dedicated accreditation feature with name and photo.

Overview

Rubic Funksjonær takes you away from spreadsheets and sticky notes and into a structured, simple and efficient everyday routine. Here volunteers can sign up, or be brought in from the membership system.

With Rubic Funksjonær you create a dedicated landing page with all the content for the event. The link to it can be emailed to last year's volunteers or other contact lists, or – perhaps best of all – you can use Rubic's member register.

Rubic Funksjonær is a module integrated with Rubic Medlem. Once the landing page is set up and distributed, things start to happen! Among other things, all the positive, dedicated enthusiasts report on the landing page when they are available. As the organiser, you see things taking shape, concludes Rune Solholm Bakken, founder of the IT company Rubic.

Tailor-made

Rubic membership systems are used by sports clubs, event organisers and associations alike. Also by national federations such as Norsk selskap for fotografi (NSFF) and Norges Skytterforbund (NSF), with very special and complex challenges. Abaris Consulting in Gudbrandsdalen has been a partner since the start, and created the first version of what is now Rubic. They have also been an important part of the specially adapted versions for NSF and NSFF;

It has been a pleasure for us, together with Abaris, to deliver tailor-made solutions to both of these federations. The Rubic platform has proved its strength and flexibility in that we have managed to implement what the customer wanted using standard Rubic membership administration as the core. We are proud to help them now have a modern cloud-based IT solution that the members appreciate, explains Anders Retterås, general manager of Rubic AS.

For parents, coaches and athletes

In the vast majority of sports clubs there are fewer pitches and resources than there are teams. This means that training is not necessarily at a fixed time and place every single week.

With Rubic LagetMitt you get all the information you need in one place, integrated with the member register. It is easy to check training times and venues, and you get a push notification on your phone if there are last-minute changes.

It is just as easy to keep track of and pay the membership fee. My Page lets members edit their own information and that of their family. Here they can also sign up for events organised by the organisation, both volunteer work and registrations. And register a payment card that the member is charged automatically when the various fees are sent out, explains Rune Solholm Bakken, the founder behind Rubic.

Covid-19 solution

In connection with the reopening of activities after the outbreak of the pandemic, the Norwegian Government, Norges Idrettsforbund and several national federations have required the registration of athletes, support staff, referees and spectators in all sports clubs. Particularly in connection with matches.

This led Rubic to act quickly and develop a dedicated Covid-19 module in collaboration with its customers.

I am impressed by how quickly Rubic moved and got this feature up and running. The requirement came in July, and as early as 4 August we were able to try it. It has worked very well and saved us a lot of work. We have received only positive feedback from users, and get the impression that people think this is a smart way to register, says Jens Fløtre, team manager for girls 15 at Lillehammer KFK.
